Kori and I have been instagram buddies for a while so when she contacted me about photographing her and her beautiful son Maddox I was thrilled. They are so close and have so much fun together. I wanted to really capture who they are together. We started the session at her house where Maddox was able to play with some of his favorite things. Legos and Trains. It was so great getting to photograph them in their environment. Nathan Pickett of NP Films came with me for this shoot to do a video of the two of them as well. The start at home really works perfectly for the video. I love starting with kids in a way that helps them feel comfortable. Kori is a full time student and mother and I know that this time in Maddox’s life is a bit of a blur so I really wanted to capture the essence of it for her. We had such a fantastic time hiking and playing around with the two of them. Maddox might be the best behaved kid of all time which made working with him such a treat. Of course Kori is absolutely stunning so together they made the perfect little pair! I am most known for photographing weddings so people are always wondering if I do family photo sessions as well? I love to do them and to capture unique family dynamics. Working with Kori and Maddox for their family sessions was such a fantastic time!
