High above the red sandstone cliffs of Zion Canyon, Zion National Park stretches for countless miles filled with amazing wonders around every bend. Braden who is from Southern California proposed to Sarah in Zion, so they knew they wanted to have their engagement photos done there. I had been exploring there recently and had come across a few spots I knew I wanted to shoot at. There is much more to Zion then the famous canyon of sandstone, which of course I love. We took off adventuring to some of these less traveled spots in the park and ended up…

I am lucky enough to photograph a lot of weddings and couples in and around St George and Southern Utah. One of my favorite spots that I am constantly drawn to is Snow Canyon. There is just something about the red sandstone cliffs and amazing contrast of colors with the green trees and grey desert sage that is amazing. I always try to photograph something new and fresh or in a different way. Snow Canyon is the perfect place for photos. When Lauren and Stephen contacted me about doing their pre wedding bridal session in Southern Utah at Snow Canyon near…

Photographing couples in Snow Canyon always amazes me. The landscape is so diverse and inspiring. Kelly and John made the trek from Las Vegas to Southern Utah to capture their engagement photos. They are both dental students in Vegas but wanted a change of scenery. Their engagement photos were so beautiful despite the fact that we ran into a spell of very cold windy weather. It was a chilly day to be sure but we still had a blast and took in the environment and amazing scenery that Southern Utah has to offer. There are some iconic spots in the…

I have photographed Cassidy many times over the years and have loved working with her and Aaron as a couple. We did their engagement photography session outside of Zion for a beautiful Zion overlook engagement session. These two are just so much fun! They are an absolute joy to be around. In their case opposites did not attract. They are both so funny, and fun, and beautiful and are all around genuinely kind and caring people. Grafton was such a special place for their pre wedding photography session. Cassidy’s family lived in the Grafton ghost town before it was a ghost town.…

Its not often that the snow falls in Southern Utah but when it does it can make for some pretty spectacular photos. I love the look of the snow on the saturated sandstone cliffs. I was pretty excited to photograph the engagement recently of Sarah & Braden in Zion National Park. The snow was on the ground yet the temperature was a perfect 70 degrees outside. We took off on an engagement photo adventure and came up with some pretty awesome images to document the love that these two share. Keep posted for more photos from this beautiful couples engagement…

I have so enjoyed photographing this lovely couple. I have had the opportunity to work with Cassidy and her family many times over the years starting with her sisters wedding, and then her Senior Pictures near Zion. Todays post is a bit different. Cassidy wrote down her loves story with Aaron and is sharing it with all of you. Enjoy! Aaron and I had our first date at the end of April 2014. We were both kind of seeing someone else, and I lived in St. George at the time (he was in Provo) so we weren’t really expecting much…

Photographing weddings and engagements in the red rocks of Southern Utah is always so awe inspiring. Morgan and Marcello came in from out of town to be photographed in the slender of Snow Canyon State Park. The amazing red rock formations of petrified sand dunes mixed with the giant sand dune cliffs and green trees and foliage make for such a unique place for photos. As a destination wedding photographer I travel all over the world photographing couples and am still always so inspired by what I have right here in my own back yard. Still I’m looking forward to…

Utah, Hindu Wedding Photographer A wedding at Entrada at Snow Canyon has always been one of my favorite venues in Southern Utah to photograph. This wedding which was coordinated by Middle Aisle was an absolute jaw dropping inspiration! Indian Hindu weddings are full of color, life, excitement and tradition but being as this was a half indian wedding and half western it really had a touch of the east meats west. Adria is originally from St George and wanted to be married here. All of Suj’s family came in from out of stater or country. Almost all of their friends…

Families come from all over the world to visit Zion National Park and experience its amazing beauty. I love photographing families that visit Zion and Southern Utah. The Shallenberger Family wanted to capture their family in the park and a bit of what they love so much about Zion as well. Getting family pictures done in Zion while you are visiting is such a fantastic way to remember your incredible visit to the park. There really are few places on earth that are as mind blowing as Zion. There really is no better way to remember ones trip then with…

Kori and I have been instagram buddies for a while so when she contacted me about photographing her and her beautiful son Maddox I was thrilled. They are so close and have so much fun together. I wanted to really capture who they are together. We started the session at her house where Maddox was able to play with some of his favorite things. Legos and Trains. It was so great getting to photograph them in their environment. Nathan Pickett of NP Films came with me for this shoot to do a video of the two of them as well.…

Many families come from all around the US and the world to visit Southern Utah. While visiting the area its such a great idea to schedule a family photo session. There is no place like Southern Utah. Weather it be a family session above the towering cliffs of Zion National Park or at of of our serene desert lakes, there are so many places to choose from. The Terry Family decided to do their family photography session in Snow Canyon State Park. I photographed Chris and Ashly’s Wedding in Snow Canyon about a year earlier and was so glad to…

There is not time of year more beautiful in Southern Utah then the fall for wedding photos. At least that is the way felt after photographing this beautiful session with this gorgeous couple. Not so long ago I had the chance to work with Abby and Mike for their engagement photos in Southern Utah. Neither of them live in the area but made the trip for both their engagements and their bridal photos. The wild flowers growing all over the ground is such an amazing contrast to the sage brush, black lava rock and petrified sand dunes of Snow Canyon…
