More and more often couples are leaving the wedding traditions behind. One of those time old traditions is the groom not seeing the bride until their wedding day. A very popular event now a days though is the first look. It is typically done at the bridal session, or earlier in the day on the wedding day. It give the groom the opportunity to see his bride for the first time in her wedding dress, and for it all to be captured on camera. I love capturing these special moments. Besides the emotional part of this experience, there is a…

It is no wonder that tourism to Zion National Park has skyrocketed over the past several years. As more people become familiar with Zion more and more people come to be married there. Jordan & Jackson knew they wanted to have their engagement session overlooking Zion. Im so glad they were up for the adventure! We lucked out with some incredible clouds in the sky for their engagement photos, adding an extra element of depth to what is already a spectacular background! I love the overlook with the famous sandstone cliffs of Zion in the background. The day was beautiful,…

I had the awesome opportunity to do a shoot that I had been thinking about doing for a long time. I love the colors associated with Morocco and the Mediterranean and wanted to convey the feel of a Moroccan wedding in a styled wedding shoot. I loved photographing this amazing inspirational shoot against the redneck slot canyons and cliffs of Southern Utah. The awe inspiring decor by Forevermore Events and Bloomers was absolutely incredible. The cake by Sweet Cakes by Karen was mind blowing and the food by Cappelettis was mouth watering and oh so beautiful. I love photographing weddings…

As a photographer I have the chance to photograph weddings in some amazing places. True North in Zion Utah is just one of those amazing places. Molly and Chris knew they wanted to have their wedding at Zion National Park. They both have a love for the outdoors and there really isn’t anywhere that encapsulates the beauty of nature like Zion National Park. Molly & Chris are both members of the US Navy and are true patriots. Their love for country mixed with their love of nature was carried throughout their wedding details and theme. Forevermore events did an amazing job…

I had the opportunity recently to photograph the wedding of an amazing couple! Adria and Sujeet were married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in front of the red cliffs of Snow Canyon at Entrada Golf Club. I absolutely love photographing weddings at Entrada. It is a stunning venue with so much to offer. The two met and live in Washington, DC, but created a “destination” wedding experience for their guests in Adria’s hometown of St. George. The wedding was recently published on Style Me Pretty, which is always such an honor! Their favorite part of the reception was the sparkler entrance…

Molly & Chris were recently married in a field overlooking Zion National Park. The wedding venue was True North which is up Kolob Terrace Road. This stunning venue was once a bar back in the 1950’s and is now really the only place in the area to have a wedding with the views looking down into Zion National Park. There really is no place like Zion. Most visitors to the park experience the main canyon of the park, but getting up to True North, one really gets to experience its beauty and majesty from a distance. The wedding of Molly…

Snow Canyon Overlook Engagement Photography I love photographing couples getting married in and around Southern Utah. Chelsea & Michael made the trek down from Cedar City where they live and will be having their wedding reception to have their engagements in Snow Canyon. This is one of my favorite state parks in Utah. It is absolutely stunning with its red rock sandstone cliffs and vast overlooks. I love the contrast of color and beautiful textures in the Lava rock, and different tones of rocks mixed with the trees and sage brush. Its no wonder that couples come from all over…

Small Wedding in Zion National Park Of all the places in the world they could choose to be married Britt & Kyle knew Zion National Park was the spot. Neither of them had actually ever stepped foot into Zion but its beauty and splendor was known to them. Their daughter was an important part of their special Elopement and was so wonderful in front of the camera. We explored around the park with the three of them a bit photographing the three of them as a family before heading to a Zion overlook spot for their actual ceremony with a…

Later last year I had the awesome opportunity to team up with some of my favorite wedding vendors to do this brilliant wedding inspiration shoot for Southern Utah Bride Magazine. The farm fresh theme of the shoot was in absolutely every detail. From the handcrafted paper products to the eye popping fruit and vegetable florals and even the venue of the community garden made this the perfect farm fresh wedding inspiration. I always love photographing inspiration for the readers of Southern Utah Bride and sharing those photos with all of their readers. The beautiful model we had for our bride…

If you are in Southern Utah but you really want to capture the essence of winter for your engagement or wedging photos there really is no better spot then Pine Valley to do pictures! I just love the amazing mountains, pine trees and landscape up there. We ran into some perfectly cloudy skies for Sammy and Kyle’s bridal photos which just added to the overall feel of the wintery scene. Bridal photos in the snow are just so beautiful and fun. I alway recommend that my brides wear a warm pair of boots and thermals under their dress if at…

Utah, Hindu Wedding Photographer A wedding at Entrada at Snow Canyon has always been one of my favorite venues in Southern Utah to photograph. This wedding which was coordinated by Middle Aisle was an absolute jaw dropping inspiration! Indian Hindu weddings are full of color, life, excitement and tradition but being as this was a half indian wedding and half western it really had a touch of the east meats west. Adria is originally from St George and wanted to be married here. All of Suj’s family came in from out of stater or country. Almost all of their friends…

True North is a wedding venue up Kolab Canyon on the back side of Zion National Park. I was so happy to photograph this fun County Fair inspired wedding at True North. Joann and Dimitri were such an easy going fun couple to photograph. Their families came from all over for this lovely destination wedding. The florals by Bloomers out of St George Utah were stunning. The show stopper for this wedding was definitely the backdrop which was hand made by Dimitri especially for the wedding. I see it as something with no beginning and no end which is perfect for…
