Elle and Jack celebrated their destination wedding at Lazalu, a secluded retreat surrounded by the red rock landscape west of Zion National Park.
Their ceremony took place in an open field with sandstone cliffs rising in the distance. Later, guests gathered beneath the scrub oak trees for dinner, speeches, and dancing.
Forevermore Events planned the celebration, while Bloomers created the floral design that brought color and elegance to the natural setting.
A Destination Wedding Near Zion
Lazalu feels completely removed from the busier parts of Southern Utah.
The property sits in a quiet valley near the western edge of Zion, surrounded by desert vegetation, oak trees, sandstone, and broad views across the surrounding cliffs. Lazalu describes itself as an off grid retreat created for privacy, wilderness, and time away from crowds.
That sense of seclusion was a major part of Elle and Jack’s wedding.
Guests were able to gather in one private setting without tourists or unrelated events moving through the celebration. The landscape became part of the entire experience rather than simply a background for the ceremony.
An Outdoor Ceremony Surrounded by Red Rock
Elle and Jack exchanged vows in the field with the cliffs of the Zion area behind them.
The ceremony design felt romantic without competing with the landscape. Bloomers created florals that added softness and color while allowing the surrounding red rock, trees, and open sky to remain visible.
The ceremony was intimate, emotional, and filled with genuine reactions from their family and friends.
One of the strengths of a Lazalu wedding is that the setting already feels complete. Couples can add meaningful flowers and personal details without needing to transform the property into something it is not.
Wedding Planning by Forevermore Events
Forevermore Events planned and coordinated the entire celebration.
A remote wedding involves more logistics than a traditional hotel or resort event. Vendors, rentals, food, lighting, music, transportation, accommodations, and weather planning all need to work together.
A strong planner makes those details feel invisible to the couple and guests.
For Elle and Jack, the ceremony, portraits, dinner, and dancing flowed naturally from one part of the property to another. The day felt relaxed, even though a great deal of coordination was happening behind the scenes.

Florals by Bloomers
Bloomers created the flowers for Elle and Jack’s wedding.
The arrangements brought color and softness into the rugged setting while still feeling connected to Southern Utah. The ceremony flowers framed the couple against the cliffs, while the reception arrangements added warmth beneath the trees.
At an outdoor venue with strong natural scenery, florals do not need to cover every surface. A few intentional arrangements can have more impact than adding decorations everywhere.
Wedding Portraits at Lazalu
Lazalu offers a wide variety of portrait locations without requiring the couple to leave the property.
The open field provides expansive cliff views, while the oak trees create softer light and a more intimate atmosphere. Adobe walls, stonework, desert plants, pathways, and surrounding hills provide additional texture throughout the day.
For Elle and Jack, we created both wide landscape photographs and closer portraits focused on their connection.
The wide photographs showed the scale of the location. The closer images preserved their expressions, movement, and excitement without allowing the scenery to overpower them.
A Reception Beneath the Oak Trees
After the ceremony, guests gathered beneath the canopy of scrub oak trees for the reception.
The trees created shade during the day and a warm, intimate feeling after sunset. Dinner, speeches, laughter, and dancing all unfolded beneath the branches.
As evening arrived, the reception lighting became more visible and the cliffs faded into the background. The atmosphere changed naturally from an outdoor dinner into a lively celebration.
Some of the strongest photographs came from the unscripted moments between formal events. Guests laughed, embraced, toasted the couple, and filled the dance floor.
Sunset at Lazalu
The light changes quickly at Lazalu because of the surrounding cliffs and hills.
Direct sunlight may disappear before the official sunset time, depending on the season and the location being used. This creates soft light across the field while the higher cliffs may continue catching warmer color.
Elle and Jack had time for a few evening portraits without spending a large part of their reception away from guests.
