Venice Beach Engagements
I love photographing Southern California engagement sessions! The Canals at Venice Beach are a beautiful location for an engagement session. Southern California has countless amazing locals, and Venice has to be one of the coolest spots. I love the stunning canal system and street art of Venice Beach. Tracey and Lanney live in Venice, so it was important to them to have their engagement photos there. Their connection to this beautiful place runs deep. I loved getting to experience it with them. Their love is infectious and I had such an incredible time with them. Im looking forward to their Southern California wedding planned by First Pick later this year.
Venice Canals Engagement Photographer
Although Venice is located in Los Angeles, it has a vibe unlike any other area in the county. Venice has a reich history of over 100 years. It was founded by Abbot Kinney in 1905 as a beach resort town. It was a romantic system of canals, far larger then what remains today. The original Canals were several miles of waterways crossed with bridges. In 1924 the city decided it wanted more roads and most of the canals were filled up and covered. The area is so romantic and beautiful, and I can only imagine what it must have been like 10o years ago. I look forward to then next time I photograph this beautiful area.
