The historic LDS temple in St George is a big part of the draw. The St George temple has been in use since 1877. Since that time couples and families have traveled from all over to be married and sealed in the beautiful temple. The St George temple is the oldest operating LDS temple. Is there anything more dramatic then Blue water contrasting with the orange colored rock of Southern Utah?! Courtney and Travis are having their wedding at Sand Hallow so it seemed appropriate to do their pre wedding photo session at the Lake at Sand Hallow. I loved Travis’ reaction as he saw Courtney walk up in her stunning BHLDN dress for the first time. The amazing floral by Bloomers was the perfect complement. The day was beautiful and so were these two. We hiked around to some pretty phenomenal locations, finally ending up cliffside high above the azure water below. Luckily…

The Boneville Salt Flats are best known for their perfectly flat stretches which are used for breaking land speed records with anything with wheels. The stark feel of white that goes on forever to the mountains in the background make for an absolutely unique and stunning environment. It was an absolutely beautiful backdrop for Taylour and Zachary’s bridal photo session. That being said it was also the windiest session I have ever shot in. The wind was a constant 40mph plus, making communicating and photographing a challenge… but an awesome one. Beyond the wind it was also freezing out. Taylour…

I recently had the opportunity to photograph April & Connor’s bridal session starting at the LDS Temple in St George and then moving on to finish their bridal session in Snow Canyon State Park. I am a big fan of both of these locations. I love the architecture and grounds of the temple. I photograph weddings at the LDS Temple often and its always such a pleasure. Snow Canyon is one of my favorite places anywhere, and even more so when we get so lucky to have an amazing sky. The weather was pretty fantastic for photos with these two. They…

It no wonder that people travel from all over the world to visit Southern Utah and partake of its splendor. Snow Canyon State Park has to be one of the most stunning places on the planet! When Jordan & Jackson decided they wanted to have their per wedding photos taken there I was beyond excited. As many times as I have explored the park, it continues to amaze me. I loved getting to introduce them to some new beautiful spots and enjoyed spending time with the two of them as we captured this amazing time in their lives! Because the…

So often when people think of the desert of Southern Utah it is the red rock desert that comes to mind. The truth is though St George is full of life and color. I was so glad to have photographed Jessica and Jordan’s bridal session at Dixie Red Hills Golf Course. I loved photographing their engagement session in Heber Utah a few months before and was looking forward to working with them again. Bridal sessions can be a lot of fun. I love photographing a couple in their wedding attire without the time and location restraints so often associated with…

More and more often couples are leaving the wedding traditions behind. One of those time old traditions is the groom not seeing the bride until their wedding day. A very popular event now a days though is the first look. It is typically done at the bridal session, or earlier in the day on the wedding day. It give the groom the opportunity to see his bride for the first time in her wedding dress, and for it all to be captured on camera. I love capturing these special moments. Besides the emotional part of this experience, there is a…

Las year at about the same time I meat up with these two to photograph their amazing engagement session in Park City. I had been looking forward ever since to photographing their bridal session. Their wedding is in Montana so we knew we wanted a beautiful green mountain look not only to mesh well with the engagement session, but with the wedding day as well. I love the Alpine Loop in Utah and all that it has to offer for photographs. The Tibble Fork Reservoir has become very popular since the time I first started photographing couples there. It can…

The day after photographing their wedding at Memory Grove in Salt Lake City I reunited with Madeline and Brandon for a wonderful honeymoon bridal session. I love day after wedding sessions. They are so intimate and special. Its a wonderful opportunity to get some amazing wedding style photos in locations that on the wedding day would not be possible. This spot above the avenues overlooking Salt Lake is a hidden jewel. I love the rolling hills and fields. You would never think its practically in the city. Madeline’s wedding gown was stunning and I love the casualness of Brandons suit…

I am lucky enough to photograph a lot of weddings and couples in and around St George and Southern Utah. One of my favorite spots that I am constantly drawn to is Snow Canyon. There is just something about the red sandstone cliffs and amazing contrast of colors with the green trees and grey desert sage that is amazing. I always try to photograph something new and fresh or in a different way. Snow Canyon is the perfect place for photos. When Lauren and Stephen contacted me about doing their pre wedding bridal session in Southern Utah at Snow Canyon near…

I have photographed countless weddings and couples in La Jolla and around San Diego over the years but am always in awe of the amazing beauty of Southern California. From the beaches to the amazing trees and cliffs this fun pre wedding session at the Cove in La Jolla California is just so stunning. I loved working with Dorothy & Kurt for their engagement photos in Zion Utah a few months earlier and really enjoyed the sunshine and waves for their bridals at the beach in San Diego. We lucked out with some absolutely perfect winter weather and had such…
